3/4 Cup
Butter or margarine, softened
1/4 Cup
All purpose flour
3 1/4 Cups
Instant yeast
21/2 Teaspoons
1/4 Cup
1/2 Teaspoon
1/4 Cup
Brown sugar
1 Cup
Cinnamon, ground
1 Tablespoon

  1. The first 8 ingred. are for the rolls.
    The next 3 ingred. are for the filling.
    And the last 4 ingred. are for the icing.
  2. Add your warm water,yeast and 1/2 tsp. of your sugar to the mixing bowl. Let sit 10 min. or until yeast is dissolved & bubbly. Heat milk in saucepan until bubbles,remove from heat. Stir in butter or margarine.
  3. When yeast is ready,start your mixer and add your egg, milk mixture, sugar and salt,and slowly add your flour little by little.When dough starts to pull together,remove from mixer onto a floured surface.Knead until smooth, 5-6 times,and form into a ball.
  4. Cover with a damp cloth & let rest for 10 min.
  5. Meanwhile in a bowl mix together 1 c. brown sugar,1 tbsp. of cinnamon,and 1/2 c. of softened butter. This is the filling.
  6. Roll out your dough into a 12 x9 inch rectangle,brush dough using a pastry brush with some melted butter. Spread your filling out evenly onto the dough.
  7. Roll up dough into a log & pinch seam to seal.Brush the outside of the roll with the melted butter also. Cut into 12-15 equal size rolls & place on a baking sheet, a little apart,so they have room to rise, lined with parchment paper.Cover and let rise until doubled in size.( 30 mins.)
  8. Preheat oven to 375 and bake for approx. 20 mins. or until nicely browned.
  9. While buns are in the oven,mix together 6 tbsp. of melted butter,3 c. of powdered sugar & 1 1/2 tsp. of vanilla. Mix until smooth.
  10. Pour your icing over the top of your rolls. Enjoy!
